The blotter is a weekly summary of arrests,

citations, and service calls by the Hemphill County Sheriff’s Office. Individuals who are reported to have been arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Arrests

•Fidel Alvarado-Parra, 42, Woodward, Okla.; 7/5/19; vehicular intoxicated manslaughter; surety bond; Canadian TDPS.

•James Andrew Jones, 25, Amarillo; 7/6/19; theft of property greater than $100, less than $750; health and safety violation class C; surety bond; HCSO.

Tuesday, June 25

•11:38 am, traffic accident reported on US 60/83 and Cheyenne Avenue; deputy responded.

•12:29 pm, 911 call received; deputy responded but was unable to locate.

•4:05 pm, HC-EMS responded to request for ambulance on Purcell Avenue; one patient transported to HCH.

•6:49 pm, gas drive-off reported at Allsup’s; deputy responded.

•9:59 pm, accident reported involving vehicle versus deer; deputy responded.

Wednesday, June 26

•11:04 pm, caller complained about loud music; deputy responded.

Thursday, June 27

•1:49 am, ambulance requested; HC-EMS responded and transported one patient to HCH.

•7:32 am, caller reported dogs fighting; Animal Control responded.

•12:58 pm, ambulance requested at local residence for medical non-emergency; HC-EMS responded.

•3:38 pm, open door reported at empty residence; deputy responded.

Friday, June 28

•4:12 am, fire reported at Purcell Avenue railroad crossing; Canadian VFD responded and put out fire.

•7:23 am, reckless driver reported; lieutenant responded and talked to driver.

•7:38 am, distress alarm reported at residence; sheriff responded.

•5:00 pm, vehicle unlock requested at Miami Courthouse; officer responded.

•9:35 pm, caller reported missing animal; deputy responded.

•10:10 pm, caller complained about noise near cemetery; deputy responded.

•10:22 pm, caller complained about noise near Gilmer and Red Deer; deputies responded but were unable to locate.

•10:34 pm, ambulance requested at Allsup’s; HC-EMS responded and transported one patient to HCH.

Saturday, June 29

•3:32 am, caller reported receiving threatening phone calls; deputy responded.

•7:46 am, cows reported out on Highway 283 and Quarter Horse Road; deputy and owner responded.

•4:07 pm, caller reported smoldering bag of trash on Lake Marvin Road; deputy responded.

•10:16 pm, caller reported someone beating on window at residence; deputy responded but was unable to locate.

•11:16 pm, caller reported deer was hit; trooper responded.

•11:32 pm, caller reported hitting a deer; sheriff responded.

•11:41 pm, noise from fireworks reported near 4th and Kingman; deputy responded.

Sunday, June 30

•4:44 am, deputy conducted traffic stop on US 83; subject was arrested and booked into HC Jail.

•1:58 pm, caller reported suspicious person near storage building; deputy responded but was unable to locate.

•2:01 pm, welfare check requested; deputy responded.

•4:49 pm, domestic dispute reported in Miami; deputy responded.

•10:03 pm, cow reported out on FM 283 and Quarter Horse Road; deputy and owner responded.

•12:15 pm, accident reported on FM 1920 at CR DD; HC-EMS and deputy responded; one patient transported to HCH.

Monday, July 1

•2:07 am, possible fire reported near CR 20 and CR K; deputy and Canadian VFD responded.

•10:10 am, caller reported assault; deputies responded.

•1:43 pm, caller reported gas drive-off at south Allsup’s; deputy responded.

•7:07 pm, reckless driver reported headed towards Canadian; deputy responded; subject arrested for DWI and booked into HC Jail.

•9:43 pm, cow reported out on US 83 near Mitchell Ranch Road; deputy responded.

Tuesday, July 2

•12:25 am, caller requested lift assist at Mesa View; HC-EMS responded.

•1:20 am, call received about a medical alarm at a residence on 7th Street; HC-EMS responded.

•4:11 pm, call received from Lipscomb County about a grassfire in Glazier; HC-VFD, HC-EMS, and deputy responded.

•6 pm, report of cattle out on Hwy 277 by a disposal well; deputy responded.

Wednesday, July 3

•7:12 am, caller reported black smoke coming from ho- mix plant on Hwy 70; deputy responded and advised it was a generator puffing out smoke.

•7:46 am, OnStar called and advised subject hit a deer at FM 1920 and Hwy 60; sheriff responded.

•12:36 pm, caller reported underage driver; vehicle was home prior to deputy’s arrival.

•1:12 pm, report of break-in; deputy responded and took report.

•4:38 pm, report of reckless driver. Unable to locate.

•7:23 pm, caller reported vehicle that hit a power line pole in Roberts County; Roberts County deputy responded.

•10:59 pm, caller reported a neighbor shooting off fireworks at a residence in town; deputy responded but was unable to locate.

Thursday, July 4

•12:12 am, caller requested a welfare check on a resident in Canadian; deputy responded.

•8:17 am, caller requested an ambulance to a residence in Miami; Miami EMS responded and transported one patient to Pampa Regional Medical Center.

•3:12 pm, caller requested to speak with deputy; deputy responded.

•6:20 pm, caller reported a possible theft; deputy responded.

•8:17 pm, caller requested an ambulance to the RV park; HC-EMS responded and transported one patient to HCH.

•9:47 pm, caller reported one-vehicle accident; deputies and HC-EMS responded, and one subject transported to NWTH in Amarillo via Life-Star.

•11:26 pm, caller reported a suspicious person in a field on South River Road; deputies responded.

•11:48 pm, caller requested a deputy standby for a combative patient; Roberts County deputies responded

Friday, July 5

•12:36 am, caller reported an oilfield location fire on Hwy 70; Miami VFD and deputies responded.

•1:05 am, caller requested an ambulance for a patient at the Edward Abraham Memorial Home; HC-EMS responded and transported one patient to HCH.

•1:36 am, caller reported an accident on Hwy 60; HC-VFD, HC-EMS, deputies, and DPS troopers responded; driver was arrested and booked into HC Jail.

•11:22 am, welfare check requested for subject at the Lazy H; deputy responded.

•2:19 pm, caller reported a one-vehicle accident on Hwy 83 and CR F; deputy, HC-VFD, and HCEMS responded.

•4:40 pm, request for ambulance at Mesa View for lift assist; HC-EMS responded.

•4:31 pm, report of burglary alarm from security company at residential address; deputy responded.

•5:14 pm, report of reckless driver heading into town on Hwy 83 and SH 33; deputy responded.

•7:40 pm, Allstate called about a business alarm on Main Street; deputy responded.

•9:19 pm, caller reported cattle out on FM 283 and Quarter Horse Road; Roberts County deputy and landowner responded.

Saturday, July 6

•7:42 am, caller advised horses out; deputy responded.

•10:24 am, stolen purse reported at the Quiet Inn; deputy responded.

•4:11 pm, request made to speak with a deputy over the phone; deputy advised and made contact.

•6:48 pm, report of possible drunk driver on Hwy 70 by the bridge next to the river; deputy responded.

•8:54 pm, caller requested to speak with a deputy at the Stumblin’ Goat; deputy responded.

•10:05 pm, caller reported cattle out on the highway at FM 2758 and FM 1453; deputy responded

Sunday, July 7

•10:06 am, Vivint called about an alarm on 2nd Street; deputy responded.

•6:53 pm, request for an ambulance by Lipscomb County; HC-EMS responded and transported one patient to HCH.

Monday, July 8

•6:36 pm, vehicle accident resported; HC-EMS responded, and one patient transported.

•10:26 pm, caller reported cattle out; deputy and owner responded; cattle were put up.
