Patricia Kay Andrews, 69, of Canadian, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022, in Plainview. Graveside services were held at 10 am on Tuesday, Aug. 30, at Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Matt Cook, pastor of First Christian Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

Rev. Georgia Ann King, 73, of Canadian, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022. Memorial services will be at 2 pm on Friday, Sept. 2, at the First Presbyterian Church of Canadian with Rev. Mert Cooper officiating. Private inurnment will be in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery in Canadian. Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Directors of Canyon.

Jennifer Lee Mitchell, 41, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on Aug. 4, 2022. Graveside services will be at 2:30 pm on Saturday, Sept. 3, at the Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery in Canadian. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Canyon.

Arturo Gandara, 72, of Canadian, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2022, in Canadian. Services will be held at 10 am on Friday, Aug. 26, at the Spanish Revival Center with Pastor Ramon Enriquez officiating. Burial will follow in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian. Arturo will be available for viewing starting at 12 pm on Wednesday, Aug. 24, at the Spanish Revival Center, 225 Cheyenne Ave. in Canadian.

Isabel Rodriguez de Castillo, 96, of Canadian, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 in Canadian. Vigil and Rosary will be recited at 5 pm at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Thursday, August 25. Mass will be at 2 pm on Friday, August 26, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Marco Gonzalez officiating. Cremation will follow after mass under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

David Lynn Albin, 51, of Canadian, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2022, in Canadian. Funeral services will be at 10 am on Friday, Aug. 12, at the Canadian Church of Christ with Jake Perkins officiating. The family will have a private inurnment service at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

Floyd Ralph Thiessen was born on April 29, 1935, to Peter and Kaete (Regier) Thiessen of rural Whitewater, Kansas. He went home to be with the Lord on July 23, 2022, at the Mesa View Senior Living facility in Canadian. A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, Aug. 6 at the Follett High School Auditorium. Services are under the direction of Scotty Schilling Funeral Director of Follett.

Richard Aaron Hartline, 39, of Canadian, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022, in Amarillo. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 10 am on Saturday, Aug. 6, at Gageby Cemetery in Canadian, with Rev. Steve Bailey officiating. Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors in Wheeler.

Billy Ray Boyd Jr. passed away in his sleep on July 29, 2022. Military funeral services will be held at 10 am on Friday, Aug. 5, at Hillside Christian Church, Amarillo Northwest Campus, located at 600 Tascosa Rd. in Amarillo. Officiating will be Jason McLeod. Billy will be laid to rest in Canadian at the Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery with a service starting at 2:30 pm. Visitation will be held at the VFW Post 1475 at 1401 SW 8th Ave. in Amarillo on Thursday, Aug. 4, from 5-7 pm. Billy’s family and friends will gather for socialization and food to celebrate his life and share memories. Everyone is welcome.

Maria Louisa Arguijo Godino, 82, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022. A Vigil service was held on Wednesday, July 20, in the chapel of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls. The funeral liturgy was celebrated on July 21, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Rev. Xavier Silvadasan as celebrant. Rite of Committal followed at Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls. Pallbearers were Ricardo Rodriguez, David Ray Godino, Aaron Witten, Gabriel Godino, Clint Nowlin, Alex Ozolins, Ashton Ozolins, and Evan Ozolins.
