JoAnn Miller, 88, of Amarillo, formerly of Canadian, passed away on Oct. 9, 2022. Graveside services will be at 11 am on Saturday, Oct. 15, at Kingston Cemetery in Kingston, Oklahoma, with Joe Patterson officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors. Memorial services will be at Abundant Life Assembly of God Church in Canadian on Saturday, Oct. 22, at 11 am.

It is with the deepest sadness and greatest respect we share that USS Indianapolis survivor, Cleatus A. Lebow, passed away Thursday, Sept.

Coby Galla, 44, of Stratford, passed away on Oct. 3, 2022, in Sulphur, Oklahoma. Memorial services were held on Monday,Oct.10,attheCanadianChurch of Christ with Jake Perkins, pastor, and Steve Beattie, of Dumas, officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

Gary Gene Wagner, 64, of Watonga, passed away on Sept. 26, 2022, in Amarillo.

Christopher Ray Fitch, 57, of Amarillo, passed away in Austin on Sept. 28, 2022, while hospitalized.

Monte Max Montgomery was born on Dec. 31, 1947, in Sayre, Oklahoma, to Virginia Lois (Keller) and Marshall Ernest Montgomery. He passed away near Durham, Oklahoma, at the age of 74 years, eight months, and 23 days.

Edward J. King, “Ed,” passed away on Aug.

Homer Edward Hill of Lindon, Colorado, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2022, at the age of 92. His health had been failing for the past few years, but he would rally often and always enjoyed visits from his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends. Services will be held today [Thursday, Sept. 8], at the Bethel Community Center (Bethel Church of the Brethren), located 9 miles north of Arriba, Colorado. Visitation will be from 12-1 pm. The Celebration of Life service will be from 1-2 pm. There will be a short graveside service at the Arriba cemetery at 2:30 pm.“ The righteous man walks in his integrity. Blessed are his children after him.” Proverbs 20:7 Homer was born Feb. 3, 1930, near Vega, to Homer Denson and Vergie Atchley Hill. He was the oldest of three sons, growing up on a farm south of Vega. His grandparents homesteaded near Hereford. Homer attended Ford Country Elementary School. He had the joy of sharing his memories of that school and his homeplace with his daughters several years ago when they traveled with him to the Texas Panhandle.
