Building on the Cats’ 14-0 first-half lead, Chris Flores opened the third quarter with a 67-yard touchdown romp. Bushland responded quickly with back-to-back TDs to pull within one score, setting up a dramatic final period—then had to settle for a field goal after a bobbled snap. As the clock wound down, the Wildcat offense chewed up the turf with Flores’ 14-yard gain and backup quarterback Jet Cervantes’ 28-yard endzone run to nail a 27-17 win.
