The south lawn of Hemphill County Hospital became a Slip-n-Slide for Seniors on Friday afternoon, which offered perfect—i.e., insanely hot temperatures—for the brave residents of the Edward Abraham Nursing Home willing to “take the plunge.” The HCH and EANH staff all helped pull the participants down the slide on big floaties. Refreshments were served, liberal applications of sunscreen applied, and oil and water sprayed on the slide to help the seniors (and their younger counterparts) down the slope.
