Did you know there was an orphanage in Canadian for a short period of time? It was founded (somewhat by accident) in 1921 by W.L. Swinney, minister of the Church of Christ, and his wife. While it only lasted in Canadian for two years, the Tipton Home, as it’s now known, is still providing care for children today.
