Willy Lopez Memorial 5K set for July 27

The Willy Lopez Memorial 5K will be held Saturday, July 27, in downtown Perryton. The event raises money that funds a scholarship for Perryton High School seniors who are the first in their family to graduate high school and attend college. The 5K race will feature—serious runners, fun runners, walkers—followed by a 1-Mile Fun Run for kids and families. Prizes will be awarded for male and female winners in each age division. Since 2011, the Memorial 5K has awarded $21,000 in scholarship money.
