OBITUARY: ROBERT WILSON EZZELL

Body

Robert Wilson Ezzell, 76, of Canadian, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025, at Capstone Healthcare of Perryton.

Robert was born on August 13, 1948, to Ben and Nancy Ezzell at the Hemphill County Hospital. He attended Canadian public schools and graduated with the Canadian High School Class of 1966. He attended West Texas State University in Canyon, where he lived and worked before returning to Canadian.

Barbara Gail Fry, 67, of Lipscomb, Texas stepped into the arms of Jesus with her heavenly greeting party awaiting on Thursday, December 26, 2024, in Canadian, Texas, with her family and friends by her side. 

Celebration of Life services will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, December 31, at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Home Chapel in Canadian with Gary Jahnel and Kyle Jahnel officiating. Burial will follow in Lipscomb Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

Neta Brooks Berry, age 88, of Liberty Hill, Texas, died peacefully at her home on October 29, 2024.  

Neta was born in Bowie (Montague County), Texas on March 19, 1936, to Carl and Lucille Brown Brooks. Neta attended schools in Bowie ISD until marrying Harold Don Berry on June 27, 1951.  H.D. was an oilfield worker for many years and they moved frequently throughout West Texas and the Big Country area for many years, until settling in Canadian, from 1961 through the mid-1970’s.

Thomas Dwain Nix, known to his friends as “T.D. Nix,” age 88, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2024, at his home in Mineral Wells, Texas. He was born on August 4, 1936, and spent his childhood in Tolar.

Christopher Robert Sorrell, 47, of Pampa, passed away on September 3, 2024 in Amarillo.

Memorial services will be 2 pm on Saturday, October 5, at First Methodist Church of Pampa with Rev. Jarrod Neal officiating.
