Barbara Jean Elder, age 86, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Sterling Hills Rehab.
A private graveside was held at 4 pm on Monday, March 9, at Sweetwater Cemetery with Dr. J.T. Thornton officiating. Burial followed. Arrangements were under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
David Wheelock was born September 14, 1941, in Canadian, Texas. David married Janice Boden from Boulder, Colorado, in 1962. They moved to Colorado in 1964 and had lived in Boulder, Littleton, Westminster, and Longmont, Colorado.
David is preceded in death by his wife Janice (Boden) Wheelock, parents Allen and Benedicta Wheelock, Stepfather Rev. Francis Moore and granddaughter Nicole Wheelock.

Sandra Gorohoff was born Sandra Carolyn Waters on August 31, 1941, in Canadian, Texas. She was the eldest child of Oliver and Mable Ruth Waters. Sandra grew up between the town of Canadian and the family ranch to the north. After graduating from Canadian High School, she attended Baylor University to complete her bachelor's degree.
