Rogers: Don’t let data centers skirt water management

Body

One of my all-time favorite movies is The Waterboy starring Adam Sandler as Bobby Boucher, who has an obsession for “high-quality H2O.”

Water is unequivocally the most precious commodity on earth. It is the most important nutrient and is required for all life — human and animal. We literally cannot live without water, even for short periods of time.

Some advice…from one Texan to another

Body

Hello. I was born there in your fine city but unfortunately uprooted and....long story.

But my point is, I live in Virginia now. I was on the Virginia Treasury Department website and ran across a lost property division. Of course, wormhole, there I go. I entered my name and I bet 200 claims came up under my name, but each had certain information different.  Town or middle initial different, etc.

Let me back up. The further I went in, I noticed, the more personal information they required.  Anyway, I did it, and here's where Canadian comes in.

Some Contested 2026 Republican Primary Races: Reasons for Choices

Body

US Senator

Incumbent John Cornyn voted 93% of the time for Trump’s first term positions and for all second term Trump appointments. He is a modern master of the Senate who has sponsored twice as many bills as the average Senator and gotten nearly ten times as many passed into law. In his career he has also raised more than $400 million for the Republican party. (1)

Rogers: How far are Republican candidates willing to go with Trump?

Body

Recently, driving to my childhood home of Graham, my eyes darted toward a ginormous Trump flag, high on the tallest flagpole in the area, flapping in the northern breeze. I found the sight unsettling, not because it conveyed support for Trump; we see pro-Trump signs commonly in the rural areas around Possum Kingdom Lake. It was the sheer height, the singularity, and the prominence above all else that sent a chill up my spine. I think it illustrated how we have digressed as a nation, at least some in my political party.
