Some advice…from one Texan to another

Hello. I was born there in your fine city but unfortunately uprooted and....long story.

But my point is, I live in Virginia now. I was on the Virginia Treasury Department website and ran across a lost property division. Of course, wormhole, there I go. I entered my name and I bet 200 claims came up under my name, but each had certain information different.  Town or middle initial different, etc.

Let me back up. The further I went in, I noticed, the more personal information they required.  Anyway, I did it, and here's where Canadian comes in.

I learned you could claim certain deceased relatives’ money also. I typed in Unclaimed Property Texas. Went to Canadian and tried my relatives that lived there for years. I didn’t find anything.  But...Canadian, Texas, has a lot of people with unclaimed property.

I entered my name (Wilson), and I don’t want to overstate it, but there are a lot of Wilsons there in Canadian that have unclaimed money.

Please research this. Go to Texas Unclaimed Property (https://www.claimittexas.gov/). I know people probably know about it, but seriously, people need to recheck. That is from one Texan to another. Canadian will always been my home. Thanks for the great childhood, Canadian.
