The Canadian/Hemphill County Chamber of Commerce is preparing its publicity and promotional materials for this year’s 4th of July celebration and is asking that all information related to those event be submitted to their office no later than Monday, May 3, at 5 pm. After a year in which the traditional events were canceled due to disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the Chamber office is planning to return to those time-honored traditions, including a parade, turtle race, watermelon feed, and more, to be held on Saturday, July 3. A reminder: This year’s parade theme is “Star-Spangled Salute.”
