Girl power prevails in Arts Alliance, Wildcat Theatre annual children’s summer camp production of ‘Rose Red’

The Canadian Arts Alliance and Canadian Wildcat Theatre drew a crowd to the Texas Crown Performance Hall last Friday with a performance of The Untold Story of Rose Red, by playwright Alaska Reece Vance. Cast members were students of the annual children’s theatre camp, where young actors are trained for several days before showcasing their work onstage.

Lisa Johnson elected to serve as CDCAT president, TAC board member

Hemphill County/District Clerk Lisa Johnson was recently elected by the County and District Clerks’ Association of Texas (CDCAT) to serve as president. The swearing-in took place June 9 during the 2021 CDCAT Annual Summer Conference Banquet. Accompanying her was her husband, Steve, and her three deputies, Sylvia Guerrero, Rosa Gandara, and Tamera Julian.
