Mother Nature smiled on the Canadian High School Class of 2021. The temperature was pleasant, the skies were clear, the sun shone, and the wind—well, the wind still blew, but nothing like the 48 mph gusts that their predecessors, the Class of ’20, suffered.

Canadian High School may have said goodbye to their special Class of 2021 at last Saturday’s graduation ceremony, but a handful of athletes are getting one more chance to showcase their skills as part of the annual K101 Classic Bowl in Woodward, Oklahoma, next week.

CCC Wildcat Baseball splits wins in Perryton tourney The CCC Wildcat Baseball team competed this week in a playoff tournament at Perryton, winning their first round Monday evening in a 7-6 extra inning victory over Petersen. Canadian lost a close game versus Booker by 1 point in the second round, but according to Coach Nate Lee, played their hearts out.

Canadian High School junior Logan Gatlin was named the 3A state UIL champion in the Lincoln-Douglas Debate competition late Wednesday afternoon, May 26, and awarded the gold medal. The tournament was hosted through a virtual format this year due to COVID-19.
