Internet-safety expert Katie Greer contacted CISD officials yesterday to inform them that she would not be available tonight, Thursday, April 7, for her “Kids, Teens, and Technology” program, due to illness. Lawana Pulliam, CISD Director of Curriculum and Instructional Technology, reported the cancellation, saying, “She is going to work with us to reschedule, but this will probably not be possible until next fall due to her already packed schedule.”

Canadian’s track-and-field teams had one final tune-up in Childress last Thursday before this weekend’s District 1-3A Track Meet in Bushland. Both the Wildcats and Lady Cats placed second as a team at the Bobcat Relays, which were held at Fair Park Stadium in Childress.

The Lady Cat softball team snapped a long losing skid, winning their first district game in two years in thrilling fashion. Canadian beat Dalhart in an 11-10 final with a walk-off single at home Saturday afternoon.
