A Hemphill County grand jury met last Wednesday, May 11, and returned with 11 criminal indictments. Four of those were released this week, while others were held until the individual could be served by law enforcement officials.
Sixty Canadian High School seniors will receive the diplomas during the Saturday, May 21, commencement ceremony held at Wildcat Stadium. The ceremony will begin at 10 am with the class processional onto the field, followed by an invocation presented by Maude Culwell, and a welcome by Logan Gatlin.
Seventy-four eighth-grade students will receive diplomas signifying their graduation from Canadian Middle School tomorrow evening (Friday, May 20), in commencement ceremonies to be held at the Canadian High School gymnasium.
