The best introduction to Jon Wolfe is the basic yet not-so-simple fact that he’s a country singer and songwriter. Country music, as it was, is, and always should be—with boots firmly standing on the bedrock of tradition and an eye focused on taking it into the future. Canadian Rodeo Association will present the 134th Annual 4th of July Rodeo with evening performances on Friday and Saturday at 7 pm, Slack on Sunday at 6 pm, and the 4th of July event beginning at 2 pm on Monday. Admission will be $10, $5 for those 6-12, and kids under 5 are free.
Events include bareback riding, ranch bronc riding, steer wrestling, saddle bronc riding, bull riding, tie-down calf roping, ladies breakaway and barrel racing, team roping, and mutton busting.
The Citadelle Art Foundation is pleased to host an exhibit by George Mendoza, titled Colors of the Wind. What makes this exhibit so unusual is that this artist is blind.
