Two years after discovering construction defects that allowed water to enter the new auxiliary gymnasium at Canadian High School, CISD has retained the Walsh Gallegos Law Firm to represent the district in its efforts to make the construction manager and architect rectify the problem and repair the damaged floor.

High school seniors: Apply now for Top O’ Texas Cattlewomen scholarships The Top O’ Texas Cattlewomen is reminding all high school seniors attending schools in Carson, Collingsworth, Hemphill, Hutchinson, Lipscomb, Ochiltree, Roberts, and Wheeler counties that applications for this year’s Top O’ Texas Cattlewomen’s scholarships should be available in high school counselor’s offices now. This year, the organization is awarding four $750 scholarships.

As the district season continues, the Canadian Lady Cats seem to be finding their groove at the right time. Canadian stayed unbeaten in District 1-3A action, nabbing two more wins over the past week.
