Margaret Alice “Peg” Holdstock, 85, of Clay, New York, passed away April 12, 2023, in Canadian, surrounded by loved ones.
Memorial services will be held at 11 am on Monday, April 17, at Carmichael-Whatley Canadian Chapel with Donald Hill officiating. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.
(AUSTIN) — With the severe weather season upon us, Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar reminds Texans they can purchase certain items tax-free during the state’s sales tax holiday for emergency preparation supplies, which begins at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, and ends at midnight on Monday, April 24.
The Canadian Chamber of Commerce will hold a City Wide Garage Sale this Saturday, April 15, 2023. After a successful Area competition, the Canadian FFA has four teams in all qualifying for State. The Homesite Team won the area contest with Beau Gravitt placing second and Jesus Martinez placing fifth. The Land Team placed third in Area. The State contest is scheduled for April 25-27.
