Bob Gober, 79, of Canadian passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2023, in Canadian. Memorial services will be held at 2 pm on Friday, May 19,  at the Canadian Church of Christ, with Andy Cavalier officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Bob Wayne Gober was born July 11, 1943, in Canadian to Perry and Letain Adcock Gober. He attended Canadian Schools and graduated with the class of 1961.

(AUSTIN) — Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced today he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.2 billion in local sales tax allocations for May, 4.3 percent more than in May 2022.

These allocations are based on sales made in March by businesses that report tax monthly and sales made in January, February and March by quarterly filers.
