Canadian’s Wildcat and Lady Cat varsity tennis players cleaned up at Tuesday’s district tennis tournament at Pampa, claiming both the boys and girls team championships by decisive margins. The varsity girls-doubles teams picked up both the silver and gold medals.

Lady Cats hit a slump, look for win in Dalhart Saturday

It’s been a rough start for the Canadian Lady Cat softball team to open District 1-3A play. The Lady Cats watched the game slip away early last Thursday with a 10-0 loss against the Dalhart Golden Wolves before falling at home to No. 11 Bushland 26-0 on Saturday.

CHS golf teams in third and fourth after first district round

Canadian’s girls golf team sits in third place and the boys A-team sits in fourth place after the first of the two rounds at the District 1-3A Golf Tournament at the Ross Rogers Golf in Amarillo on The Lady Cats shot a first-round score of 464. Canadian sits 31 strokes behind Bushland (433) for second place and 65 shots back of round-one leader Dalhart (399).

CHS golfers hit the links in series of tournaments

On Monday, March 7, the Canadian Lady Cat golf team competed in Childress. Briley Merket finished the day with 98. Three Lady Cats ended with neck-and-neck scores—Emily Kauk (112), Kamey Kirby (115), and Mylee Adcock (117). Tayln Wright and Haley Baker rounded out the team with scores of 123 and 129, respectively.

CHS Sports Schedule Changes Canadian High School track-and-field athletes will compete this Friday, March 18, at the Panhandle High School relays, following cancellation of the earlier-scheduled Shamrock meet. Canadian’s Lady Cat softball team will play in Dalhart on Thursday, March 24, after their March 22 game against Dalhart was canceled due to a lack of available officials..

CHS teams win the day at Wildcat Relays

The Canadian boys and girls track-and-field teams had a very successful showing when they hosted the Wildcat Relays at Wildcat Stadium on Tuesday, March 8. The track meet was originally scheduled for Friday, March 11, but was moved up due to inclement weather expectations.
