Wildcat Band ends 2021-22 with awards ceremony

In their final event of the 2021-22 school year, the Canadian Wildcat Band held an awards ceremony, to recognize students’ special accomplishments. Band Directors James and Daisy Edwards presented several previously unrecognized honors—some “just for fun” and others more serious—as they closed out their careers at Canadian ISD.

CES 50-Milers

Body
Members of the Canadian Elementary School second-grade running club finished up the year, running a total of 1,284 miles. Students run at the track 22 times a year for 35 minutes, focusing on lifetime fitness and goal-setting. This is the 10th year that CES has participated in running club. Twister Kelton named to South Plains College Dean’s List LEVELLAND—Twister Kelton of Canadian was among more than 660 students named to the South Plains College Spring 2022 Dean’s List. To qualify, students must earn a grade-point average of 3.25 or higher and complete a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Body
Sixty Canadian High School seniors will receive the diplomas during the Saturday, May 21, commencement ceremony held at Wildcat Stadium. The ceremony will begin at 10 am with the class processional onto the field, followed by an invocation presented by Maude Culwell, and a welcome by Logan Gatlin.
