Frank Carl Muir, 79, of Panhandle, passed on June 27, 2022, surrounded by his children and holding the hand of his bride of 57 years. Funeral services will be at 2 pm today [Thursday, June 30], at The River in Panhandle. Graveside services will follow in Panhandle Cemetery. A gathering will be afterward in the Fellowship Hall at the River.

Jerry Donald “Big Dad” Collier, 82, went home to his Lord and Savior on Friday, June 17, 2022, in Canadian. Memorial services were held on Monday, June 20, at the First Christian Church of Canadian with Matt Cook officiating. A private family burial will be scheduled later. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

Edward “ED“ Bert Babitzke, 92, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away on June 6, 2022, in Tucson. Graveside services will be at 11 am on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery in Canadian with Gary Jahnel officiating.

Leron Dean Thompson Sr., 90, of Canadian, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2022, in Canadian. Graveside services will be held at 10 am on Thursday, June 16, at Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery, with Charlie Rankin officiating.

Mickey Dean Karr, 76, of Pampa, went home to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ on June 8, 2022. The family is planning a Celebration of Life memorial service to be held at a later date. Cremation care has been entrusted to Winegeart Funeral Home.

Jackie Don Vines, 79, of Gardendale, passed away on June 7, 2022, in Odessa, at Medical Center Hospital. Jack had overcome several health-related issues the last several years but couldn’t beat COVID-19. No services are scheduled at this time. Willowbrook Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Midland were entrusted with arrangements.

Debbie Jan Clark, 71, of Canadian, passed peacefully from this life into eternal rest Monday, May 30, 2022, at the Hemphill County Hospital. Per Debbie’s wishes, there will be no services. The family has entrusted the cremation care of their loved one to Winegeart Funeral Home.

SALLISAW—A memorial service for Dane Vinson, 91, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, was held on March 12, 2022, at the Church of Christ in Sallisaw. Dane will be laid to rest in the Hayes Center, Nebraska, cemetery on Monday, May 30, immediately following the veterans memorial service at the cemetery which is scheduled for 11 am.

Gwendolyn McMeans died peacefully on May 10, 2022, at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in the loving presence of family members. She was 95. Gwen will be buried next to her husband, Jim, in his hometown of Canadian. No local San Jose memorial service is planned at this time.

Michael Robert Wright, 74, of Lipscomb, passed away on May 16, 2022. He was with his wife, Mary, and youngest son, John. Services will be at 2 pm on Monday, May 23, in the Lipscomb Union Church with Pastor Dwaine Reed officiating. Viewing at the Lipscomb Union Church will be at 12:30 pm up to service time. Burial will follow in the Lipscomb Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.
