Coach Tim Fletcher reported great success by the Lady Cat tennis team in the Amarillo Tennis Tournament held Tuesday, March 1. Abbi Voorhees won 3-of-3 matches, winning the championship 7-6, 6-4. The Lady Cat doubles teams finished first and second. Clara Pulliam and Karen Aragon won 4-of-4 matches to take the top spot, winning 6-7, 6-2, 10-1. Rita Osornio and Araceli Saldivar won 2-of- 3 matches to place second, finishing 7-9, 2-6, 1-10.

The dust was still settling on the Texas primary election battleground as this edition was being sent to the printers, but some things were already pretty clear. This state’s voter turnout was embarrassing.
