In a game filled with momentum swings, the Canadian Wildcats reeled off 35 unanswered second-half points to pull away from a gritty Childress squad and open District3-3A Division II with a 62-28 victory from a rainy Fair Park Stadium on Friday night.

Monday, Oct. 11, was Canadian ISD’s annual Community Give Back Day, a day in which middle and high school students dedicate themselves to community service. In addition to boosting a student’s chances of acquiring scholarships and college entry, community service is good for the soul. Taking a break from academics to give back to the community is an integral part of what CISD hopes to instill in its students.

Both of Canadian’s varsity cross-country teams made a clean sweep through the District 1-3A cross-country meet on Wednesday afternoon at the Palo Duro Creek Course in Spearman to claim the district championship.
