What's Cookin' in Canadian: Quick Herb and Cheese Monkey Bread

Body

This recipe from the Food Network Kitchen uses prepared biscuit dough as the base for this pull-apart loaf. The tasters likened it to a southern version of pizza-shop garlic knots. Dough is rolled in olive oil and dried herbs before layering it in a bundt pan, giving you a loaf that’s crispy and brown. Enjoy!

The ladies at the Hemphill County Library won’t have much time to catch their breath after the Bazaar. These ladies have several Christmas activities for children and adults.

On Monday, Dec. 5, from 4-5 pm, the Bookworms program will have all things Christmas, including a visit from Santa. Kids can expect a present and goodie bags after a hard day’s work.

The Postscript: Waiting for my laundry

Body

IT’S AN ODD EXPERIENCE watching someone fold your underwear.

I was thinking this yesterday as I was waiting for my laundry. When my husband, Peter, and I packed to go to Mexico, we knew there would be a wide range of temperatures. San Miguel de Allende is in the mountains, so the days can be quite hot, and the nights can be cold, and the weather changes a lot in November everywhere, so we had to be prepared for anything.

Rotarians meet Mesa View Senior Living interim director

Body

Our program last week was focused on the spirit of serving our community and the loving care that is given to our senior citizens. Melissa Bundy introduced Audra McConas, interim director of Mesa View Senior Living. McConas is serving until Ashley Morales finishes her hours and can take the reins. McConas was born in Louisiana to a farming family. She says it was an honor to grow up with the lessons learned from a strong family and a very strong connection to her grandparents.
