Canadian ISD announces lone finalist for Superintendent

The Canadian Independent School District Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that Dr. Julia McMains is the lone finalist for the position of Canadian ISD Superintendent. After a competitive search that included 19 highly qualified applicants, the Board selected Dr. McMains due to her extensive experience in curriculum, dedication to staff and students, and unwavering commitment to academic excellence.

Highway 60 traffic switch to begin this Thursday in Canadian

CANADIAN – Beginning Thursday, June 27, traffic will switch from westbound US 60 to the eastbound side as crews continue to work on the US 60 Highway Improvement Project in Canadian. The project extends from Birch Street on the south edge of Canadian to the intersection with Main Street in the center of downtown.
