A Personal Best

Senior Wildcat Cross-Country runner Rylun Clark competed in the State XC Meet at Round Rock on Monday and finished the 5K course in 16th-place, with a time of 16:27.18. Clark’s goal following his first state meet last year was to cross this year’s finish line in under 17 minutes. He accomplished that with room to spare, setting a personal record in the event.

Body
The Record will publish letters, wish lists, or holiday greetings to Santa. Children are encouraged to write to the North Pole and submit it to The Canadian Record via mail (PO Box 898, Canadian, TX 79014), email (news@canadianrecord. com), or simply drop off letters at 211 Main Street before Monday, Dec. 7. We’ll make sure Kris Kringle gets a copy, and we’ll feature the letter in our special Christmas Edition, published Dec. 23.

We are thankful that we have made it to Thanksgiving! This infamous year of 2020 is almost over, thank goodness! I would like to share a historic Thanksgiving theme artifact to commemorate the holiday. This postcard was mailed in 1909 to Clyde Cannedy in Canadian from Fannie Shaw in Cataline.
