WICHITA, Kan.—Wichita State University has announced the names of more than 3,500 students who were on the WSU dean's honor roll for fall 2020. Among those named was Taylor S. Altmiller of Canadian. To be included on the dean's honor roll, a student must be enrolled full-time (at least 12 credit hours) and earn at least a 3.5 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale.

Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapters around the country are celebrating national FFA Week. Today known as the National FFA Organization, members engage in a wide range of agricultural education activities. Students join FFA to explore a variety of careers in the food, fiber, and natural resources industry.

It was a bitter end to an ever-improving season for the Canadian Wildcat basketball team. The Cats showed tremendous grit in their Class 3A bi-district contest in Panhandle last Friday, but fell short against Abernathy in a 47-42 final.
