The Canadian softball team is coming off a tough weekend at the Iowa Park Tournament last weekend. Though the Lady Cats did play some competitive games, Canadian came up short of getting any victories.

The Wildcat varsity A-team won first place in the Canadian Invitational Golf Tournament here last week, while the Lady Cats finished third-overall in their division. The Wildcats posted an overall score of 407 on Wednesday to top the scoreboard.

On Saturday, March 6, Hemphill County Deputy Michael Foreman stopped the driver of a Honda Pilot, who was clocked at 64 mph in a 45 mph zone on Second Street in Canadian. Foreman discovered 15 people inside the vehicle and called for assistance.
