Amarillo author Rick Treon is international literary award finalist

AMARILLO—Rick Treon’s thriller Let the Guilty Pay has been named a finalist for the 2021 Silver Falchion Award for Best Suspense Novel by literary organization Killer Nashville. “I am blown away by this nomination,” said Treon, an Amarillo resident and former editor of the Amarillo Globe-News.

The First Baptist Church Mission

Canadians have never lacked having generous spirits. A recent example is through the First Baptist Church’s food and clothing bank, dubbed “Love Center Mission.” Chairman Katie Hathaway explained that the mission was first thought up a couple years ago by their former pastor, Matthew McCurley. The church family ran with the program, and they opened the mission in August 2019.
