It’s been a fast and positive start for the No. 1-ranked Canadian Lady Cats to open up District 1-3A play.

Students of both Baker Elementary and Canadian Middle School topped the competition in the District UIL Academic Contest held on Dec. 3, 2021, at Bushland ISD.

Leo Avila, a senior member of the Canadian High School Band, will perform with the Texas All-State Band in San Antonio, on Saturday, Feb. 12, at the Henry B. González Convention Center as part of the 2022 Texas Music Educators Association Clinic/Convention.
