A public statement issued by Klein Investigations and Consulting last Thursday suggested that a suspect had been identified in the May 27 vandalism of the Justice for Thomas Brown sign on Main Street.

The Children’s Fishing Tournament, hosted by the Wolf Creek Improvement Board, brought 190 kids to Lake Fryer on Saturday, June 4. Award winners in the competition were: Ages 3-6 (top photo): 1st, Alice Dewitt; 2nd, Zoey Yara; 3rd, Camden Robinson Ages 7-10 (middle photo): 1st, Kendall Dewitt; 2nd, Isaac Flores; 3rd, Bristol Creswell Ages 11-14 (bottom photo): 1st, Brooklyn Kile; 2nd, Sydney Harper; 3rd, Alexander Gonzales Several other prizes were presented at the culmination of the tournament.

Lt. Cmdr. Christopher Minick, a Canadian native, enlisted in the United States Navy as a nuclear machinist mate in November of 2000. After completing the enlisted nuclear pipeline, he was selected as a junior staff instructor at Nuclear Power Unit MTS 626 in Charleston, South Carolina.

Payton Lee Collier is a Spring 2022 graduate of Texas Tech University, having earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology with a minor in human development and family sciences. Collier graduated cum laude. He is the son of former Canadian residents Kirk and Michelle Collier, now of Hooker, Oklahoma.
