Canadian’s Jones Pavilion will be the site this weekend for a threeday “We The People” event, billed as a training seminar to help attendees “break free from the corporate construct designed to enslave you.”

The new year for the Comancheria Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution started with an Oct. 20 meeting in the home of Cindy Bowen, with the main order of business being the election of officers for the next two-year period.

Early voting in the Nov. 8 General Election began on Monday at the Hemphill County Courthouse, and will continue through Friday, Nov.

The Canadian Wildcats are headed back to the postseason after claiming a lopsided 56-13 victory on Friday night at Wildcat Stadium. The Wildcats posted their fourth consecutive win, improving to 6-2 overall and taking full command of District 3-3A Division II with a perfect 3-0 record.
