Hundreds of new laws go into effect

A total of 774 new laws went into effect on Sept. 1, affecting Texans in many areas of their lives, the Austin American-Statesman reported. The new laws concern property taxes, registration fees and voting access, among other issues. Several have drawn court challenges from opponents.

Texas Panhandle War Memorial Center hosts 9/11 remembrance

First responders, veterans and families from around the Texas Panhandle will gather  at the Texas Panhandle War Memorial Center on Monday morning, September 11, at 8:30, as a remembrance and to honor those heroes who were lost in the terrorist attacks 22 years ago that cost almost 3,000 lives on American soil.

Texas Water: Present and Future Needs 2023
