Taking up acquisitions of property and equipment for the district, the Hemphill County Hospital Board approved two sets of purchases in its April 20 meeting. CEO Christy Francis first provided a list of expenses that will be funded through the remainder of the $3.5 million CARES Act Provider Relief Fund.

County awards Amarillo firm bid to build new radio tower

Hemphill County commissioners awarded the contract for construction of a new emergency radio communication tower here to Amarillo’s CommTech LLC, for the low bid of $107,373. Eight bids were received—ranging as high as $170,325—from companies in locations ranging from Florida to Indiana, and from Kentucky to Iowa.
