Colton Cooper, a 6-foot-1, 190- senior, is in his second season of being a two-way starter as an offensive and defensive lineman for the Wildcats. Cooper played and started in all 15 games for a Canadian team that was 14-1 last year, advancing to the Class 3A Division II state semifinals.

Wildcat XC teams compete at Borger meet

The Canadian Wildcat varsity and junior varsity boys competed in their first crosscountry meet of the 2020 season at Borger last Saturday. Senior Rylun Clark led Canadian’s debut outing, finishing the 3-mile course in 17:58 to claim 10th-place overall.

Weekend Bucks and Does Tourney attracts 25 teams Twenty-five teams competed in last weekend’s Bucks and Does tournament at the Canadian Golf Course. Winners of the Championship Flight were the first-place team of RJ and Deb Vandygriff, with 132; second-place Price Barton and Debbie Holtsclaw with 136; and third-place Mack and Janet Leach with 138.
