The Wildcats and Lady Cats are looking forward to a trip to Lubbock, as both hope to extend their seasons when they compete in the Region I-3A cross-country meet, set for Tuesday morning, Oct.

Canadian’s JV Wildcats took charge in the first quarter of last Thursday’s hometown showdown with the Lynx and never blinked. The Cats racked up a 20-6 advantage in the first quarter; held on to a 27-8 lead at halftime; and after a scoreless third quarter, answered the Lynx 25-yard scoring run with an airmailed Keelan Baileys-to-Jose Vargas pass to walk away with a 33-14 victory.
