The 2020 Chamber banquet is taking a step back in time, a hundred years to be to be precise, hosting a Roaring ‘20s Casino Night this Saturday, Feb. 29. Find your fringe and fedora, and sashay down to the River Valley Pioneer Museum to enjoy food, entertainment, games, and award presentations. WHILE WE APPRECIATE Mr. Tripplehorn’s thirst for knowledge about the plethora of candidates running for office in the upcoming primary election (see letter to the editor at left), we had a little trouble swallowing his suggestion that there is no source for information about the candidates. There may, in fact, be more sources of information than ever before in history. The real problem is finding one you can trust, and—if you prefer not to live on the internet, or simply lack reliable online access—one you can actually pick up and read.

Early voting is underway in March 3 Republican, Democratic primaries

Despite the absence of any locally contested race, early voting in the March 3 Republican and Democratic primary elections is expected to be brisk. Texas voters in both parties will face a ballot full of choices to determine who will be their candidates for public offices ranging from President of the United States to county commissioner.
