In an ever-changing world, it’s important to understand new cultures; languages; and be willing to accept all people with different cultures, customs, and values. The Texas 4-H program has an incredible program that provides Texas 4-H members with the opportunity to explore and learn these things.

The Canadian Golf Club announced results of the two-day, two-man tournament held here last weekend. Winners of the championship flight were first place: Steve Russell, Ian Ansett, Ryan Gist, and Aron Graves (107); second place: Don Tyson, Josh Woods, Robert Parker, and Tyler Burgess (108); and third place ended in a tie at 115 between the team of Daniel Williams, Steve Williams, Brent Roark, and Terry Garner and the team of Mr. Suitor, Brian Gallagher, Travis Lovins, and Shane Slover.

No one has hit the panic button here yet, but local hospital officials and medical providers have some reason to be worried. Less than two weeks away from the start of the 2021-22 school year—and all that it entails— the coronavirus has re-emerged across the country in the form of the delta variant, and the debate over who and when and whether and why one should get which vaccine at what age is roiling some already muddy waters.

CHS Class of 2021 member Hayze Hufstedler graduated from Air Force BMT in San Antonio on Thursday, July 29. He is now training at Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls as a crew chief, specializing in airlift/special mission aircraft maintenance on C-130 planes. He is the son of Heath and Margie Hufstedler of Canadian.
