Canadian’s cross-country teams had impressive showings while hosting the Wildcat Invitational last Saturday. Almost 300 runners participated in the event from across the Panhandle.

The Hales moved into this home in 1988 and, as Laurie said, lived in it just as it was with their growing family until the big remodel in 2014. The 1970s home, which belonged to Laurie’s grandmother, had been vacant for several years when her dad asked if they wanted to move into town from the ranch.

Canadian Education Foundation representatives Heath Mitchell, Cheryl Hohertz, and Courtney Trolinger presented over $6,300 in Innovative Teaching Grants to teachers from Canadian High School, Canadian Elementary, and Baker Elementary during halftime at last Friday night’s Wildcat football game here.
