The Canadian Wildcat sub-varsity teams wrapped up the final week of their football season with one last clean sweep against the Dimmitt Bobcats. The three squads got the job done in dominating fashion, amassing a total of 130 points to their opponents’ 24.

Laurie Ezzell Brown | The Record In their first game of the season here Tuesday, Canadian’s Lady Cat junior varsity basketball team lost a hard-fought 32-33 game to Tascosa’s Lady Rebels. Brooklyn Beedy (12) and Kimora Morales (21) were the top scorers in the game, with 10 and 9 points, respectively.

David Gerhardt introduced his wife, Virginia, who is a diagnostician with EPSSA. She is also finishing her master’s degree in school psychology. Some of her training has been in the area of memory and how it affects learning.

The Canadian Lions Club held its weekly noon meeting on Friday, Nov. 4, at the Fire Hall. Boss Lion Bobby Gregg presided over the meeting. Joe Dial led the Pledge of Allegiance, and Joe Wagoner gave the invocation. The members welcomed Wildcat Athletic Director Chris Koetting and team members Sam Kendall, Karson Thompson, and Clay Kendall.
