Charles William (Bill) Philpott, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and teacher passed away on November 3rd, 2023. After 91 years, Bill simply ran out of time to fully pursue the vast array of interests that continued to relevantly evolve in his brilliant mind.  

James Anglin, 78, passed away on October 22, 2023, in Phoenix, Arizona.

He was born in Canadian, Texas, but lived most of his life in Arizona. He was an electrician by trade. In his free time, he was a modern-day treasure hunter at thrift stores, estate sales, and yard sales. He was a decorated marine in the Vietnam War.

Charlotte Anne Payne, 76, of Gladstone, Missouri, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, October 27, 2023, at the University of Kansas Health System in Kansas City, Kansas.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 1 pm at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia, Kansas, with a private family burial to follow at Fredonia City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until service time at the funeral home.

(AUSTIN) — Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced today he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.2 billion in local sales tax allocations for November, 1.9 percent more than in November 2022. These allocations are based on sales made in September by businesses that report tax monthly and on sales made in July, August and September by quarterly filers.
