Having claimed the outright District Championship in a hard-fought bout with the Childress Bobcats last week, the Canadian Wildcats (9-1) will again tackle the Muleshoe Mules (3-7) in the first round of playoffs at 4 pm Thursday, November 13, at Canyon’s Happy State Bank Stadium. The victor will take on the winner of the Coahoma (8-2) vs Alpine (2-8) playoff next week. 
As the stakes get higher each week in the 3A D2 Conference, they also heat up in The Canadian Record’s Wildcat Pick ‘Em. Tommy Wyatt and Charlie Mann each picked up another gold star with last week’s wagers, putting Charlie in the lead with 5 stars, while Blake Beedy is nipping at his heels, and Tommy is gaining ground. Shane Sawyer is the dark horse in this race with only one star to date, but there’s still plenty of football to be played!
