CHS students Rene Osornio (senior) and Jasmine Avila (junior) qualified for the 3A UIL State Academic Meet in Austin after placing in the top three at their respective events at the region meet Saturday. 

Avila took gold in Editorial Writing, and Osornio earned 2nd place in Feature Writing.

Mirabelle Brown: 6th News Writing, 6th Editorial Writing

Journalism Team: 3rd overall

Waylon Hawkins: 5th Number Sense

Tate Wilhelm: 5th Computer Science

Computer Science Team (Tate Wilhelm, Joseph Dominguez, Charlie Hanes, Emmanuel Jimemez): 3rd overall

Canadian High School students earned 3rd overall.
