OBITUARY: LARRY ‘RABBIT’ WRIGHT
Rabbit Wright, 83, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025, in Deming, New Mexico. Rabbit was born July 18, 1941 in Glazier, Texas, to Clint and Annie Wright.
He served in the Army. As part of his service, he was in Vietnam. He met the love of his life Marie Hall and married her December 31, 1981 in Canadian. He worked at Canadian ISD as the Transportation Coordinator until he retired in 2004. He and Marie moved to Deming in 2004. He became an active member in Helping Hands and Meals on Wheels while there.
OBITUARY: David Michael Dake
Mike Dake, 62, of Glazier and the IV Ranch, stepped into his heavenly home on July 5, 2023.
A memorial service to celebrate Mike’s life will be held at 11 am, Wednesday, July 12, at the River Ministries Church with Donald Hill, Pastor, officiating. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.
OBITUARY: KATHY MAINS MCNEES
Kathy Mains McNees, 72, of Glazier, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023.
Kathy was born on Oct. 11, 1950, in Guthrie, Oklahoma, to Gene and Dorthy Mains. She married Thomas Micheal McNees (Mickey) on June 26, 1970. On May 14, 1972, she gave birth to their only daughter, Cassie Michelle McNees.
Survivors include her husband, Mickey McNees, of Glazier; daughter, Cassie Michelle McNees, of Canadian; sister, LaQuita Jordan, of Crescent, Oklahoma; and brother Eddie Mains and wife Donna, of Crescent Oklahoma.
