An editorial treasure

WHAT A GREAT first spread this week! Deserving tributes to a landmark leader; a classic column introduced with a solid dash of emotion; an editorial that translated the importance of an event that otherwise would have only been significant for a select few; a contributed column that told a valuable story of dedication with a great punch line; and a thank-you letter that is a testimonial to the town.

I have rarely seen a better editorial spread, and here’s one more remarkable thing: not one word about state or national issues! This is a treasure, laid up for redemption when things get scratchier.
