AMARILLO / 08-20-2025 – Coffee Memorial Blood Center (CMBC) is urgently appealing for O-Negative blood donors as supplies of this universal blood type reach critically low levels. O-Negative blood is vital in emergencies and trauma situations, when there is no time to determine a patient’s blood type.

“We need our community heroes to step up,” said Brad Duggan, Executive Director, CMBC. “O-Negative donors are essential because their blood can be transfused to anyone in an emergency. Your donation could save a life today.”

Donors can schedule an appointment at obi.org and give blood at:

  • Coffee Memorial Blood Center, 7500 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX
  • Game Day Blood Drive at Coffee Memorial Blood Center, 7500 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX.  Saturday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
  • A mobile blood drive near you (locations available online).

As a special thank you, all donors will receive a $20 Mission Market voucher.
