Kent Sisco announces candidacy for Canadian ISD Board of Trustees seat
Early voting in May 3 election begins April 22
Kent Sisco, Candidate
Canadian ISD Board of Trustees
Hi, I am Kent Sisco. I was born and raised in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, but with work, moved to Texas where I met my wife Hannah. We made Canadian our home, raising our two sons, Mason and Kiptyn, here for the last 17 years.
I instantly loved Canadian when I moved here and knew I wanted to put roots down. I enjoy spending quality time with my boys and getting to encourage them to grow into respectable young men and to be whole honorable men in life. My heart is to impart that courage to all: to become full whole-hearted men and women and to carry into the future that honor.
It means alot to me the decisions I make and I would whole-heartedly look at all decisions moving forward to the best of my ability for all students and the passions in life they want to pursue. I find that once a child finds greatness in things they love and enjoy--whether it be art, music, writing, theatre, robotics,or sports, etc.--they can move and express themselves more fully and move into adulthood with some grounding and wisdom to become great men and women.
Canadian carries a great legacy and I feel, at the core, tries to instill great values in their children. I would be honored to get to carry on that legacy on the school board in helping all students and community grow and to keep moving into a wholesome future yet to come.
For the past 15 years I have loved serving Canadian on the Fire Department and feel like I would also bring benefit to the school board in that I have raised one son through all schools here and am currently raising our youngest, as well. My wife was born and raised here and also went through all the schools here in Canadian.
My hope is that I can bring some wisdom and knowledge to the table on many different subjects with all my experiences in life to better benefit our schools and community. It would be my honor to serve you, and I hope to help Canadian school district keep growing in becoming excellent in all endeavors.
Many blessings to all and great hopes for a great future to come.
