of the 2026 Regional Water Plan of the Panhandle Water Planning
Area (Region A) Regional Water Planning Group

The purpose of this hearing is to accept public comments for inclusion in the 2026 Regional Water Plan for Region A. Region A comprises all of Dallam, Sherman, Hansford, Ochiltree, Lipscomb, Hartley, Moore, Hutchinson, Roberts, Hemphill, Oldham, Potter, Carson, Gray, Wheeler, Randall, Armstrong, Donley, Collingsworth, Hall, and Childress Counties.
The Public Hearing will consist of a presentation on the 2026 Region A Initially Prepared Plan (IPP), receipt of written and oral comments from the public, and comments from the PWPG, meeting materials are currently available for public review at www.panhandlewater.org.
The IPP is currently available for public review and inspection at www.panhandlewater.org and in the County Clerk’s office in each of the Region A Counties listed above. The IPP is also available in the following public libraries or alternate locations: Amarillo Public Library (Amarillo); Booker Public Library (Booker); G.B. Burton Memorial Library (Clarendon); Canyon Area Library (Canyon); Carson County Library (Panhandle; Childress Public Library (Childress); Collingsworth Public Library (Wellington); Dallam-Hartley County Library (Dalhart; Hansford County Library (Spearman); Hemphill County Library (Canadian); Hutchinson County Library (Borger); Killgore Memorial Library (Dumas); Lovett Memorial Library (Pampa); Memphis Public Library (Memphis); Oldham County Library (Vega); Perry Memorial Library (Perryton); Richard S & Lea Morris Memorial Library (Claude); Roberts County Library (Miami); Sherman County Public Library (Sherman); Wheeler Public Library (Wheeler); and the offices of the Panhandle Regional Planning Commission, 415 W. 8th Amarillo, TX.

All written comments submitted separately from the hearing must be received no later than 5:00 PM, June 23rd, 2025. All comments received will be considered prior to the final adoption of the 2026 Panhandle Regional Water Plan.
